1948 33ft Flxible Clipper motor home conversion. The Clipper has been In my family since 1965 and stored in a climate controlled warehouse since 1970. Serial No. 8563. Recent extensive Maintenance performed.
The coach runs well, drives well and stops. It’s powered by a 1959 Pontiac 389 recently serviced with new gaskets, rings, factory rebuild carburetor, starter, electric fuel pump, high energy ignition, new high performance aluminum radiator with all new hoses throughout the the cooling, and heating system and a new proper sized battery.. Air brake system serviced as well. compressor was replaced back in the day, all components recently serviced as per instructions in the Flxible factory service manual. Front hubs pulled, surfaces sanded clean, pivot points cleaned and lubed. Brake pads are like new, front bearings replaced back in the day and recently cleaned and repacked with synthetic grease. Rear drums and system serviced as well, sanded clean etc and the pads are also like new. The brake system holds a consistent 110 PSI.the drive train and suspension were serviced as well, fluids changed and greased. All running lights and brake and turn signals in good working condition. The body is in very good condition for its age with minimal rust and looks to only have one repaint. Interior is dated with a four person sleeper with a sink and toilet and could use some electrical and plumbing updates. It has a new Magic chef gas stove, Dometic refrigerator, travel trailer furnace and Onan power generator. Front tires look good but the rears look a bit worn. Many original parts are included along with the Fxlible service manual as shown. The shifting mechanism is functional but could use some updates. Overall in great condition. Use as it is or do the complete restoration. It a solid unit worthy of the time effort and $$$ involved. Thanks for looking. Located in Oshkosh, WI
